Is it normal to get your period after ...

Is it normal to get your period after taking an emergency contraceptive (plan b) ? I had my period last week and after my period ,well let’s say I had an accident, I took the pill. Please don’t go after me telling me I’m not responsible. I’m married, and if I get pregnant oh well. I’ve had a really hard time with birth control. I either gain weight, feel depressed, or I get an irritated vagina bc I’m allergic to condoms. I just want to have sex not feel so crappy about myself.
