How did you get engaged?

I’ve been wondering lately how does it happen for different people so.. feel free to share your love story as well (I love reading love stories 😁)

We met online and that's where he proposed. We were sitting right next to each, but he posted the proposal as a new thread in the community where we met. It took forever for the page to reload and he kept casually asking me if there were any new threads. Forty minutes after he posted it, it finally popped up. 😬 Everyone who knew us and had watched our relationship develop had popped in to tell him, "We'll wait with you," until I finally found it. 😂

Day after Christmas in front of the Rockefeller christmas tree, in the blizzard of 2010 lol. He gave me tickets to a broadway show for christmas and surprised me in front of the tree before the show :)

I gave him photos/pins of engagement rings i liked. He picked final details and cost. 
He proposed on a trip to disney, at Epcot.

Okay so super cheesy and not romantic 😂
We were shopping for our beach trip the next day and he ventured off into the mall which is totally normal because I suck to shop with lol but he just kept saying how excited he was with what he bought me! It was definitely burning a hole in his pocket 😂
So we’re done at the mall, we go pick up our food for the night and we get back home and I’m dropping things off in our room. He asks me to come help with forks for the food and I come out and he’s on one knee, stumbling over his words because he’s just so excited about it. I loved every part of it 🧡 we got married exactly a year after that. Weve now been married a year and a half!

My husband took me snowmobiling to the top of a mountain in January with the sun shining over the white crisp snow. I went to get our lunch out of the back of our sled and when I turned around he was on one knee blubbering some story and ask me to marry him! I said yes of course then I just wanted to head back and tell everyone. he of course wanted to spend the rest of the day riding.

Mine is not romantic at all 😂
I got home from work, took a shower came into the living room and went to change our one year olds poopy diaper. As soon as I finished putting his pajamas back on he walked out of our bedroom and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was new years eve but he asked at like 830PM.
He tried so hard to come up with a plan, he wanted me to call off of work that night and go to this big light up ornament in the center of town and ask there but I didn't want to call out of work. (I didnt know his intentions.) And then he asked if we were going to stay up and watch the ball drop and I told him I was exhausted and wanted to come home and go to sleep after work. So this is how it played out and I'm okay with that 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

Well it was in a public place but it was sort of private. We were on a horse drawn carriage ride around old st Augustine. Had wine, flowers, it was beautiful. And he popped the Q on the carriage. Just us two and the carriage driver. 
Of course I cried and some people on the sidewalk noticed and I heard one guy say “I think she just got engaged..”
So I lifted my hand up and they cheered 😂😂😂

He proposed to me at the Taj Mahal during our trip to India and the Maldives in 2018, we married last year on 25th May 2019 and found out we are expecting just in time for Christmas 🥰

Unofficially- woke up the day after my grandma funeral and asked if I wanted to pick out my ring or does I want him. 
Officially- we grow potatoes so he thought it would be cute to dig up potatoes and spell it all out. He got MA.... too much work! He got the 3 biggest potatoes then 1 word each "marry me ?" Then he came and got me. We were out of potatoes so went out to dig some. He parked me right next to them. I walked over them to grab my bag. He says come here. Walk over them again. He wants a different kind so walk to the other side the field (this is normal for him) walk over again!! Couple more times walking over! He stops me and says look down!! I didnt see them at 1st and then I realized! The words were upside down. Then he comes over to me and asks if I want him to get on his knee. I said no. He gave me his ring. 
When we told him mom- they've been growing potatoes for over 30 yrs at this time. I called her and asked where she is because I found some weird potatoes I wanna show her. Her tone was less than impressed!! So i go see her(shes with bunch of friends) and she sees them in my hand and her face was priceless! They are normal looking. I handed her one at a time that said it. She started crying and pulled me inside to tell all her friends!! My husband comes in and they were all teasing him for it!!
