Telling your boss?

Question

When is too soon to tell your boss/employer??? 
I’m 6 weeks & straight up MISERABLE. Nausea & gagging all day long, extreme exhaustion, headaches etc etc. I used a sick day today because I just physically couldn’t do it. I have more sick days but I’m not the type to call out all the time. I also just applied for a remote position and don’t want anything to impact that 😭😭 
I haven’t even had my first appointment with my dr yet !!!

Im waiting till my first appt to let me boss know. With my first pregnancy, i actually waited till maybe 2nd trimester - ish.. i wasn't sure when it was a good time back then.

I waited until I was like 25 weeks pregnant my last pregnancy. I got lucky and my boss was always soo understanding about when I was really sick. She always told me that they will go easy on me during my pregnancy and after he was born also. I’m a little nervous telling them about this one because I just gave birth 6 months ago and I’m already pregnant again! 🙊

I actually just told my boss today. It was nerve wrecking! I’m only 5 weeks and 5 days. I didn’t plan on telling my boss until I was further along however, I was a bit emotional at work where I was crying for something so simple. I had to explain what was wrong to my boss to explain the customer interaction I just had. 
I would say, if you are not feeling well or your emotions get the best of you, it would be wise to tell your boss sooner then later. You don’t want them to look at you as your performance is declining but if they know about the pregnancy they will be more understanding to those days when you just can’t even.

First pregnancy I told at like 7weeks, because I had started spotting and my dr recommended staying off my feet and taking it easy , so I told my boss and co workers so they didnt think I was just slacking off lol. 
This time I'm waiting until I announce publicly to tell them, easier said than done  because this bloat is insane already!!

I told my boss when I found out at 4 weeks. She’s honestly been there for me throughout my fertility treatment though, so she would’ve asked if I hadn’t volunteered the information. She knew that I had an IUI procedure, so I knew she would have asked regardless. During pregnancy, you should be covered by FMLA anyways, so that protects you and gives you job security during pregnancy and maternity leave.

I told my boss when I was 5 weeks just because I wanted her to know for future appointments and I felt like she needed to know Incase something happened at work. She was so supportive and even brought me peppermints! Lol

I’m telling my boss tomorrow. I’ll be 9 weeks on Wednesday but have called out a couple times this month (and he’s my new boss) so I want to be honest. He has two young kids so I’m hopeful he’ll be understanding! I just have felt so sick and fatigued since 5 weeks so I want him to know its not “normal” me. Wish me luck!

I told my boss as soon as I found out because I had a high risk pregnancy. Unfortunately I miscarried 6 weeks later but she knew and was VERY supportive

I didn’t tell work last time until close to 20 weeks. I don’t think I’ll be able to hide it this time, so probably will tell closer to 12 - later if I can pull it off. Morning sickness and fatigue at work suck.

I told my boss pretty soon after I found out because I was bleeding pretty heavily and went to the ER. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have said anything.
