Chlamydia in the throat

Many who engage in more casual sex use condoms for intercourse but not for oral sex. I’m a member of this group and it finally caught up to me. About a week after the sexual encounter I started developing a sore throat, more on the left side than the right, and my left lymph node swelled up. I was tested for strep throat and the results were negative. When I didn’t see improvement in over a week like the urgent care doctor said I should I put 2 and 2 together on my own. It feels like there is a blister down my throat, and my left ear aches a bit....I went to a planned parenthood and they said it’s really rare to get chlamydia in the throat, but a few days later the results came back positive. It’s easily curable but this was quite painful and rather easy to mistake for a common sickness. Watch out
