Babysitter - help!

Thoughts on using a babysitter for the first time for your 14 month old?

Thinking about hiring a friends daughter to watch our son for a couple hours so we can get dinner (we haven’t had a date night since before our son was born) but feeling nervous. Her daughter is more than qualified (former Montessori infant room teacher, babysits for others). I’ve never had anyone (besides my sister) watch our son so I feel very nervous. Is he too young for this still!?
