😮 Anyone else have kids with a large age gap?

Would love to hear experiences. I just found out I'm pregnant &  My son will be almost 8 when our little one is born 😅🙃😬
 I really wish they were closer in age, so that they could be "friends"...but that's just not how things happened haha

I don’t have kids with a large age gap, but I have taught several 12-14 year olds with baby siblings. They dote on them so much and constantly talk about how much they love him! Also, my sister is only 5 years older than me, but we are super close still.

My daughter is going to be 10 this march and my second girl will be 2 in June. So quite a large gap. Big sister loves her little sis. They play here and there. Im sure they will play more when she can really do hide and seek or tag. But overall they love eachother. I have no clue how it will be once she gets older but I hope they keep a bond. She helps out alot. Also have another baby due this Feb so we will see how they all mix together

My son was 8 when my daughter was born. Now he’s 11 and she’s 2.5. They are SO cute and sweet. She is getting to the age where she kinda likes when he’s doing something but she will act like he’s so annoying and yell at him but she secretly hopes he will keep doing whatever he’s doing. He sometimes gets annoyed because he feels like she gets him in trouble. BUT! More often than not they are so fun to watch. She watches and learns everything from him. When he is playing with her, he is so kind and nurturing. 
My brother was 7 years older than me. And honestly all I remember was him sitting on me and farting and my mom never doing anything about it. Lolol.

My sister and I are 10 years apart. So it’s literally 2 different generations. Honestly I love the fact that I can be there for her and have already went through whatever she may be going through. I was my mother’s helper when it came to just getting pampers bottles or just taking her when she needed a nap. I think the only con is we so far apart id catch a charge if she was to get into anything in school lol #iAmMySistersKeeper

My daughter was 5 when my son was born. Hes 9 months old now so I dont have longterm experience but I love the gap and almost wish they were wider apart. She is a huge help with the baby and I feel less guilty about giving her less attention because she is old enough to not fully rely on me.

I don’t have kids with a large age gap, but my brother and I are 6 years apart. We weren’t really close growing up. I was in my teens when he was still just a kid. He always wanted to hangout with me and my friends, but all he wanted to do was rough play. I remember locking the poor kid out of my bedroom when I had friends over. I was very protective of him though. If I found out someone was bullying him, they would have to answer to me. 
I’m 27 and he’s 21 now and we get along, but we aren’t super close.
