First ultrasound?

When do you get your first ultrasound? And then again next one when is it recommended? My midwife won’t see me till 12 weeks!!!

Depends on the whole situation ie where you live, type of pregnancy ie high risk or not, Fertility treatments, So there's a few factors when it comes to that question, I'm high risk so I'm having a very early scan, I live in the UK so it's usually around 12 weeks for the first scan if there's no issues involved, depending on GP aswell is different to when you see a midwife, so at mine it's usually 8 weeks but because I'm high risk, I'm seeing her at 5 weeks, ☺️ hope this helps, congratulations on your pregnancy aswell 🎊🎉🎊

I have one at 6w3d and then another at 9w, after that I go to the “normal” schedule where I will only have like 2 or 3 more the whole pregnancy

Usually if in uk you will have a scan at 12-14 weeks and then one between 18-22 weeks and if you’ve got no risks you tend not to have any more unless you’re like me and I now have to have scans every 2-4 weeks, it’s annoying that they leave it so long between appointments
