Can dogs sense trouble in pregnancy?

Im almost 28 weeks and in the last week my dog started being extremely clingy. Should i be worried? I have a complete previa and possible acreeta. Im nervous my dog can sense something im not aware of. I lost my last pregnancy close to 20 weeks so my anxiety is still a little high with my rainbow baby.

I don’t know if they can sense something is “wrong” but I think it’s true they can sense the pregnancy. My boys were always pretty attached to me but they kind of laid anywhere around me before I got pregnant. Now they constantly fight for a spot with their head by my belly completely! They have to be touching me. & my Weimaraner who’s a bit older and my first pup, he will NOT let me out of his sight, EVER. I mean even when I let him free in the back yard he used to run and play, & now he’ll pee and poop and wait at the screen watching me in the kitchen until I let him back in. He’s a total freak now when it comes to keeping his watch on me lol. The other day I had about a one inch crack left open on the pocket door to my bathroom and while I went pee, he got up and literally put his one eye to the crack to keep an eye on me. Lol 😂 they definitely know and wanna be there for every moment! Enjoy the snuggles! They certainly are the most loyal companions! And hopefully they’ll be protective over the baby too!

That’s so weird that you posted this question. I am 30 weeks on Friday and I noticed the past two days my dog has been acting different. We were leaving and he stood in front of the door and looked all sad at the ground. He never does that. He has also been more cuddly recently and not his usual wanting to play constantly. I am worried he is either getting sick, feeling down or he knows something is about to change or happen with me. I’m glad I am not the only one noticing changes in their fur babies.

This guy’s super clingy as well... he hasn’t changed much recently, the clinginess has been constant since a week before I found out I was pregnant.

When something's wrong and pup wants to tell you, they usually start acting weird (hyper, barking at you or belly, difficult to calm down, etc). Note: I'm not an expert.

Animals have an insane amount of intuition. He can probably sense the hormone shift and can probably smell your colostrum. My dog did the same thing and he hasn’t left my side since about week 20. I’m sure there’s nothing wrong and your dog is just getting protective as he sees you as his mom.

It sounds like maybe your pup is sensing your anxiety and wants to help!! What a good baby! 
My husband and I have noticed a change in our cats. He used to have one and I used to have one...now they are both obsessed with me and give me all the cuddles. The one that used to be mostly his follows me around and does chores with me 🤣
I think they can sense all the change, not necessarily if anything is wrong. Enjoy your puppy snuggles! I know I'm soaking up my time with my clingy kitty girls!

You mean clingy like this? Honestly I think mine knows something is going on and she wants to be near and make sure everything is okay. My Luna is a cuddle bug normally,  but more so lately.

My do and my cats have been super clingy to me they alw have to be right next to my belly. I know they can sense the pregnancy not sure if they can sense if something is going wrong with it tho.
