How do you know if you’re passing your mucus plug or if it’s just discharge? It’s hard to tell because as the pregnancy progresses, it’s expected to have increased discharge and fluids. I also read that the consistency of the mucus plug can vary, so I think that’s what makes it hard to tell the difference since it isn’t always going to be a large amount or one single consistency.

I’m 32 weeks, so I’d assume it could pass at any time in the coming weeks. I also have polyhydramnios, a two vessel cord, and a marginal cord insertion. So there’s all sorts of risks with those things, including premature rupture of membranes and cord prolapse.
