Why so many getting induced???

I feel like everyone is getting induced... curious why!? My doc told me I can go to 41+3. Noooooo! Please take the baby out of me now lol I’m currently 38 and 1cm 🤦‍♀️

I have no clue. I am in no rush for baby to come earlier than she needs to. I feel like people forget due dates aren’t exact. As hard as the end of pregnancy is I never wish baby to come early. I witnessed my sister having 2 premie babes and don’t wish that on anyone.

I’m really happy to be at 39+2 with no talk of induction yet. Induction usually indicates there’s a reason why the baby is better off in than out, so if your doctor hasn’t mentioned it, just be happy you have a healthy baby in there with nothing threatening their health! 
I was induced at 37w with my 1st. It took 72 horrible hours before they finally just did a c-section. My son was very small and he had trouble with digestion. I wish he would have stayed in longer and been developed.

I’m being induced at 37 weeks. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and preeclampsia at 28 weeks.  Risk of still birth is increased so better out than in from what my doctor said.

I feel the same. My doctor said that I will be induced by 39 because my precious son caused a second degree tear, and she is afraid the size of my little girl will do the same. So I'm having growth checks every 2 weeks and every other two weeks I have a BPP ultrasound.

Had a failed induction with my first for zero medical reason, biggest regret of my life, every reaction to every induction method failure to progress after 37 hrs and a c-section later. I will be refusing any kind of induction unless medically necessary and time is not a necessity. I’m sore, can barely walk, my kid kicks my ribs out of place every time I get them put back in, I wake up to food in my mouth from regurgitation and heartburn, the end of pregnancy freaking sucks but to skip on all the crap I went through last time I’ll gladly wait for natural labor.

I have big babies from genetics, not GDM or anything. I started having blood pressure issues after my EDD with my first. My first wasn't born until 41 weeks and despite actually starting labor a couple hours before my induction appointment for being overdue I still needed most of the induction interventions to progress. 
I really don't want baby to come earlier than 39 weeks (I am 39 weeks already) but after being late with my first I really just want to know when baby will be here by if she isn't motivated on her own. So I'd gladly schedule an induction between EDD to 41 weeks. Time moves slow as you approach your EDD but IMO it moves even slower when you pass your EDD and are still waiting.

I had preterm labor at 32 weeks. Baby is measuring small, but I have a very small anatomy.  I have been on light duty for 4 weeks at home and mostly on the couch/in the bed. The doctor is inducing me at 38 weeks...13 days away...because of my small anatomy.  She wants to make sure I can get the baby out. In general most people getting induced do so for safety reasons.

I’ll be induced at 38+3 due to GDM and baby being big. They don’t want to let him get too big where we have to worry about him breaking something during delivery or jumping right to a c-section! Otherwise I would let him cook as long as he wanted!
