Upper Endoscopy??

Question

Has anyone had this done? I’m having it done tomorrow and I’m really nervous. I know it’s a simple procedure but I have really bad anxiety and I get really really nervous before being put to sleep. What was your experience like?

Yep! I’ve had it done! Apparently I fought the drs when they tried to put the scope down my throat. I have literally ZERO recollection of it and felt no different afterwards! Well I did feel different because I had a capsule attached to my esophagus for acid monitoring but if I didn’t have that then I wouldn’t of felt any different! 
I still chuckle because in my chart it says next time I have to be put under and not twilight because I tried to fight them 😂

Had it done twice. Felt nothing, lasted 5 mins and was over and walked out 15 mins later. Super easy nothing to stress about.

You’re not fully put asleep, like general anesthesia. They’ll give you meds to relax , you won’t remember a thing .
