I would say that particular detail counts as a little thing, that is common to lie about lol It’s a personal detail I would think twice about sharing with someone I’m not even in a relationship with yet 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lying about anything however is not cool and you should talk with him about the dishonesty.

Just why it's his passed I'm sure some of his relationships he regrets or they didnt last long at all so kinds pointless to add those etc but his his life he doesnt have to give you his real answer or answer at all 
My husband always told me he lost his v card to me around our 3yr of marriage he told me that kinda was lie that girl was very gross so it didnt last long at all he was embarrassed and I dont blame him but guess what I didnt care cus the end of the day it's his past we didnt know each other that time 
Dont take this the wrong way but just get over the silly lie(I'm sure he has good reason why he lied) and move on or leave him
