Asking him?

Has anyone on here asked him to marry you? Why and because I love cheesy stories, how?

We've been together 4 years, bought a house, had a kid, he's taken my firstborn as his own and damn it, I'm ready to marry this guy!

I know he wants to too, and we've been theoretically planning for a good year, but obviously he hasn't asked yet. I'm getting impatient, and don't want to stay his girlfriend forever, so I figure I'll put on my big girl pants and ask instead of waiting indefinitely.

Is that smart, or should I wait just a bit longer???
