Placenta not attached at 13 weeks

I went for a scan the other day at 12.6 weeks. They said everything was absolutely perfect but that my placenta hasn’t attached yet. She assured me it’s normal but if it isn’t attached by 14-16 weeks we need to worry. Has this ever happened to anyone?
