Anyone ever get pregnant without having a period?

So my periods are very irregular. My son is 3 and it took us a year and a half to get pregnant with him because I just wasn’t having periods. Well now we’re trying for our second child and I’m worried the same thing is happening this time. I know I ovulated last month, because I was having the ovulation pains, but time for my period came, and it didn’t show up. This month, I ovulated again, and no period again. 🙄 Has anyone else gone through this? I’m not sure what to do.
