Dating a man with a baby on the way

There's a regular that comes into my job and we have been flirty and hitting it off for the past couple of months. He has 4 kids from 2 pre ious relationship and i just found out that he has a baby on the way due in a couple months. He just broke up with the mom (who is not the mother of his other kids)a week ago and now wants to start seeing me. I have 2 kids from a past relationship so i dont mind that he is a single dad. Something just seems off with his story but im attracted and he seems like a good guy and good to his children from what I've seen. Im torn if i should give him a shot. Would any of you?
