Stressed!?!?GD

Question

I am 32 weeks and have Gestational Diabetes and recently was given insulin just for my fasting numbers so I take it at night, The rest of my numbers are great but my fasting numbers are still high I don’t know what else to do, why can’t my fasting numbers just go down!! This is frustrating me, any tips? I also do have appointment on Monday but any tips to help lower it till then would be appreciated

I just gave birth to my son yesterday and I had gestational diabetes all my numbers went under control with diet except for the times I slipped up or caved in and ate things that wasn't supposed to thank God his sugar levels were perfect anyways I could not get my fasting numbers under control so they started me on 8 units of insulin and told me to up it by 2 every other day and tell my fasting numbers were under control that is what my doctor said when I went to the center of diabetes they upped me all the way to 25 unit a night and told me to increase it by two every night and tell my fasting numbers were under control by the time I gave birth to my son I was taking 36 units every night but my fasting numbers were under control have they told you to up your units until you get yours under control

I’m in the same boat with my fasting levels. All my other levels are fine, my doc is giving me one more week of trying to control it by diet before they put me on insulin. I’m having a little success by eating high protein snacks 30min before bed
