Paci obsession?!

Anyone else’s march baby basically in love with the paci. I already feel like This is going to be a fight to wean off 🥴😫. Baby sleeps so good at night and he wakes up about 2 times. Finds his paci and replaces it himself. Anyone else just feel like riding it out until later so not to disrupt sleep?? He’s seriously the happiest baby and doesn’t use it much during the day. Mainly when he’s tired or sleeping. Also, anyone putting a stuffed animal in the crib yet? I feel like the Pooh in this pic would be good but maybe he’s still too young 🤷🏻‍♀️☹️

My daughter definitely needs hers to sleep. We are weening it off during daytime hours and only using it for naps/bedtime. I just find it annoying when we go places, always making sure it doesn’t fall on the ground etc. and she really doesn’t need it. I have no plans to take it away for bedtime though, it’s way to nice to help her fall asleep.

Yes!!! I got two glow in the dark ones and put them in her crib bc she wants one in her mouth all the time! But i am not messing with it yet bc we don’t have good sleep anyways! Some nights she sleeps through the night some she wants to sleep with her daddy

Funny enough my daughter hated a pacifier up until she was put into daycare at 6 months and I guess she saw all the other kids suck on one and that’s when the pacifier she used to chew on for her teething turned into her actual pacifier and now I can’t get her off of it. So I let it be, she’ll eventually wean off of it. ☺️

My daughter never took a paci. She used me as a paci but that is broken due to drying up. 
The stuffed animal thing. I know they say wait but honestly if baby is rolling around just fine and can move I don't see an issue with it personally. My daughter has 2 stuffed animals in her bed and a luvie. Has since she was rolling well with no issues and it's gone perfect. She usually plays quietly for a half an hour in the morning with her stuffed animals before she starts to call for me. But some people feel otherwise on stuff in the crib. I would just use your mom judgement on if you think it's safe for your son. Good luck :)

I took my older sons away at 18m. He was addicted! Cold turkey and after like 2-3 somewhat hard days he never looked back! Don’t stress over it yet. I wish my March LO would of taken one

Everything I read says it's fine to use a paci until the child is old enough to understand why you took it away 🤷‍♀️ I'm not worried. I try not to give it to him for anything other than sleep sessions though, I don't want him addicted to using it during wake time. I will probably take it away around 2 or when I think he's ready!

No paci here but she loves her thumb!  We gave her a small elephant lovey around 6 months and now I find her snuggling with it every time I walk in.  She carries it with her around the crib in her sleep.  Every night after her bottle, I bring her to her crib and she basically lunges out of my arms to get in there with her elephant.
