My boyfriend is 10 years older than me and we have been together for 2 years now, and we just had a beautiful baby boy in November, we had A LOT of issues prior to having a baby, but things seemed to drastically improve once I was pregnant, he quit drinking and we just genuinely got along better. I got 16 weeks paid maternity leave, while he got 6, and he was very helpful at first, but once he went back to work, it’s like he flipped a switch, and became a complete asshole. There’s been times when I’ll ask for help, and there’s always an excuse as to why he can’t.. (he’s too busy playing his stupid video game)

He actually had the nerve to tell me that he doesn’t help a lot with our son because i’m “literally getting paid to take care or him”. My heart breaks because I’ve wanted a baby for as long as I can remember, and it truly hurts me when I feel like his father doesn’t even want to help.

I always thought I wanted to marry this man, and now I’m constantly questioning why I stick around.
