Can anyone help me understand this Coronavirus A little more? Is it deadly? If you get it do you not get better? IV been so afraid to take my 6 month old baby out anywhere. IV been seeing it everywhere but not to sure on what exactly happens when you get it.

It’s been around forever, but the media is just fear mongering at this point because they’ll have a vaccine to market soon. Check your Lysol wipes purchased before the outbreak! 😂

As it stands, 2019-nCoV causes 2% of deaths of all the people that are infected with it. This sounds scary, but common flu, also caused by a strain of coronavirus, kills more people yearly than this strain has. The H1N1 virus outbreak in 2009 infected and killed significantly more people. 
Of course, we should be wary about this virus. The outbreak is continuing and until we have it under control or eradicated, we won’t know for certain just how severe or lethal the virus is. However, we shouldn’t be avoiding going about our day to day lives in fear. 
You are most at risk if you have visited or live in Wuhan, and other areas of mainland China. You are also at risk if you have come into contact with people with 2019-nCoV. Most at-risk individuals are those who the above two points apply to and are either very young, elderly or immunocompromised. 
Make sure you always wash your hands thoroughly after the toilet or after you sneeze/cough/blow your nose. If you do need to sneeze, sneeze into your elbow. Avoid going to areas where there have been confirmed cases of the virus if you can help it. 
It’s always okay to be cautious over things like this- being senseless will only cause more problems- however there is no need to completely shut down your life over fear you might contract it when the chances are there is significantly less risk of infection for those who have not visited or live in the outbreak zone or have been in contact with those with the virus.
