So I found out I was pregnant with baby number 2 (rainbow baby) in early January, everything was going amazing this time around after a really awful 17 weeks of being pregnant with my first. Constant back and forth from hospital and midwife appointments etc... fast forward to saturday afternoon when I was 6 weeks and 6 days I was at work (I have a physical job that requires me to stand and walk around for 4-8 hours of the day) and I felt something come away from me and immediately knew I was bleeding as this is what it felt from when I was pregnant the first time and all I ever did was bleed for 6 weeks straight. Anyway, as you would.. I started to panic, I had a panic attack whilst I was sat on the toilet at work and in this time I had passed 2 clots, so i started hyperventilating and couldnt breathe. My supervisor came to check on me and she phoned my husband and he rushed from his job to come and get me and we went to A&E. I had my blood drawn and they sent me away. I did however have a scan booked with my normal hospital for reassurance today, so they told me to wait until I have that. So I had 2 whole days of waiting to find out whether I had miscarried or my baby was alive and okay. I had however stopped bleeding about an hour after I started and it was just brown discharge afterwards. I went in to have my scan this morning and let me tell you, I lost all hope that my baby was still inside me. As soon as the lady put the wand on my stomach, all I could do was look at my husband's face as I would know by his reaction what was going on, I was too scared to look at the screen and after what felt like an eternity, he squeezed my hand and practically shouted "that's a baby with a heartbeat" ( we had a lot of scans with my first pregnancy so he thinks he's a pro at looking nowšŸ˜‚) as soon as he uttered them words I started balling my eyes out and I looked at the screen and my little peanut was there and the heartbeat looked so strong beating away. We have no signs of another subchrionic haematoma this time around (why I lost my first pregnancy) and no blood in my uterus so what I bled out is all gone thank god!šŸ˜«šŸ˜«šŸ˜« according to my LMP, I should be 7 weeks 1 day today but baby is measuring 6 weeks and 6 days so nice and on time... if you are still reading this far, thankyou for listening and here is a scan of my little one šŸŒˆā¤
