Giving birth, questions?

So with my son I got induced. I know what contractions feel like at 8cm, but I don’t know what they feel like when they start.
I also don’t know what it feels like when your water breaks.
I want to try to stay home as long as possible. 
Can you give me any tips? Helpful information?
My labor with my son was traumatizing && I really want it to be different this time around.

It's kind of a hard question, because I think it's different for every woman. Like my mom didn't even know her water broke, but mine burst and water got EVERYWHERE even though I was sitting on the toilet. My mom also had no idea she was in labor but I woke up in the middle of the night knowing I was in labor. I never had a cervical check, but none felt basically the same the whole time, I couldn't tell I was become more dilated or anything.

Contractions are like pain and cramping that come and go. I think they’re different for everyone. You are supposed to feel your belly tightening, but I never could tell during mine. When my water broke, I just knew that’s what it was. I always see people comparing it to peeing which I don’t think mine felt like that.

I was also induced with my first. Horrible experience. With my second, my water broke in the shower. It just felt like a nice warm gush. I wasn't sure if it was my water breaking so I got out of the shower and more gushed out. It continued to gush periodically. Lots of fluid. My contractions didn't start until I got to the hospital and didn't get too intense until I was about 8cm dilated. Water broke at 2pm, got to the hospital around 5pm and had my son at 10pm med free. My contractions with my 3rd started out as uncomfortable period cramps. Nothing too painful, but noticable. I tried to sleep through them, which I did for about 2 hours, and then they were becoming more intense. They continued to progressively get more and more unformotable. I walked and breathed through them. Made it to the hospital fully dilated and ready to push.

My contractions for the first 24 hours were apparently strong (according to the monitor and the nurses who kept running in to check on me), but I didn’t feel them. Like, sometimes my stomach muscles were tight, but they didn’t hurt at all. I think it’s different for everyone.

My water had broken twice (my first “symptom “ of going into labour for my first two pregnancies) and it’s literally “felt” like nothing. One moment I’m walking in the grocery store the next second my pants are soaked in warm water. The second time it was a small tear and a little bit just gushed out every few mins.
