Teething?

My 4.5 month old suddenly is a sloppy nurser who latches fine to start and then pulls the latch shallow, cries, fusses and moves his mouth all around as he eats for short amounts of time now! He wants his mouth on anything and constantly aggressively mouths at my body in between feedings for the last 2 weeks! It hurts me and he isn’t getting as solid of feedings-could these be symptoms of teeth coming up if we can see little nuns at the base of the gums?
