The title basically says it all. This happened my last pregnancy. I wasn’t allowed a anatomy scan until 22 weeks, which was fine I thought it was normal. I did have it scheduled for 19 weeks but my ob called the ultrasound tech and said I’m not allowed to come in then and need to wait til 22 weeks. Whatever lol I didn’t know better. Well I’m on my second and have the same ob but a different ultrasound tech/doctor. She my new tech said I NEED to have an anatomy scan between 18-20 weeks, no later than 20 weeks. She gave me a list of multiple reasons. The biggest reason is if there’s an abnormality and I choose to abort, it’d be illegal to abort past 22/24 weeks. So I booked my anatomy scan with her for 18 weeks and something days. I just got a call from my ob saying I need to move it up three weeks, to 22 weeks and I’m absolutely not allowed to have one earlier. Here’s the thing. I also have a problem with my placenta, and we need to see if it’s fixed by 16 weeks. So we decided to just see at the 18 weeks cause it’s close enough. But now my ob is saying I need to wait, even though I have a pretty significant problem!!! I’m so fed up with her. Maybe she’s doing this so I have absolutely no chances of aborting? She gives no reasoning why when I or the tech asks. So I have absolutely no clue and I’m kinda pissed.
