Can someone please tell me what he's doing? He's 5 months old and I'm just curious if anyone else's baby has done this? Just dont know why he does this. It's always the same hand. This isn't the best video either but it's just an example

He’s figuring himself out. Totally normal.

I have 4 kids.  They have all done things like this and the first two had me videoing it and googling it and worrying.  Now I know they’re just being babies. It could be something but most likely he’s fine.  He’s so bright and alert and ADORABLE! Congratulations 🥳

When he's doing it put your hand on it, if it stops moving then it's just him figuring himself out. If when you put your hand on it it continues to move and fights against you I would take him to the doctor.

They are still trying to figure out the hand eye coordination, so it looks like he is trying hard to get the hand to the mouth, mine does the same. I am no expert but my girls did this as well. If you are worried check with his Dr. but looks normal to me
