Anyone else find sleep training doesn’t work??
Our 6 month old girl has no self soothing abilities whatsoever. Everyone says to put baby down drowsy but awake so they can learn to fall asleep on their own but my baby just can NOT do it. We’ve tried letting her cry, checking in periodically, not picking her up, picking her up - we’ve been at this almost 2 full weeks now and she has made absolutely zero progress. We’ve been letting her cry it out intermittently all night tonight with some checking in (where we do not take her out of the crib) and we’re on hour 4 - she is wide awake and crying the exact same way she was 4 hours ago. No sign of “self-soothing”. Same as last night and the night before. She has fallen asleep on her own maybe twice but then subsequent nights cannot repeat it. Can some babies just not be sleep trained? What do I do??
