Should I test?

My period normally starts on the date it is supposed to start. I always have terrible uterine and lower back pains and HEAVY flow, like changing super tampons every 3-4 hours on the first 2-3 days. It always lasts 5 days. My period is religiously regular. My husband and I have been TTC since July with no luck. This month my period comes 2 days early and is lighter than usual. I was only having to use regular tampons and not having to change as often. It is the 3rd day of my period and I am only spotting brown/pink discharge. It is not even on the panty liner I have been wearing all morning. Only when I wipe. My question is should I take a pregnancy test or wait and see how things go?
