When did you start shopping for your baby?

Also what did you guys stock up on first? I still haven’t had my baby shower

I’m waiting until after my baby shower for the most part. Bedroom furniture is done but that’s because we only needed a crib, my bedroom set from childhood has been in our guest room for 3 years. I am looking for mom to mom sales and second hand stores for stuff and will snag it if I catch a good deal, there are a lot of things I want and I will remove from my registry if I buy them myself. 
Get all the free registry packs you can. The samples will help a ton. I’ve gotten target and amazon so far. 
Rather than going to buy a ton of diapers /wipes/formula I would recommend getting gift cards for stores to save money up. You don’t know what baby is going to tolerate or be allergic to and that’s easier than the hassle of returning/exchanging. Just get a pack or two so you don’t have to go out the first couple weeks for stuff.

We bought her coming home outfit when I found out the gender I was 14 weeks... and at 7 months we went crazy.

We got samples from store registries then got a crib and dresser. We did a gender reveal on Saturday and did a diaper raffle so we got diapers. We do have a few clothes that were either on sale or clearance. We made our registries live last night and the baby shower is in April. The baby is due at the end of June so we will see what we still need before the baby comes.

I started shopping 12 years ago 🤦🏼‍♀️
It started with cheap onesies and escalated from there haha. 
If I were a normal person, I would say maybe buy diapers and wipes first. Make sure you can exchange them though in case baby needs a different brand or size.
