I’m 15 weeks pregnant today with a girl. My sister in law has a 2 year old girl and kept all of her baby stuff. When she was pregnant she had to have all new, best of the best baby stuff. She is letting me borrow everything and has a storage unit full of baby items. But most of it is stuff I don’t want. Before you call me ungrateful, hear me out.

For example, she Has mismatched pieces to a nursery, a baby bouncer that doesn’t work (vibration and lights are broken) and a swing that is discolored. (3 babies have used it and it looks tired and old.) She’s given me ton of clothes- some with broken zippers, stains, and holes. And is INSISTING that I take a car seat (originally $400) but the car seat straps are COVERED with mold. Says she can replace the straps for $30 and it’s good as new. She’s also let a friend use said baby items. Obviously she didn’t take care of them.

I told them I didn’t want to go into their storage unit until after my baby shower to see if she had items I didn’t get before I went and bought what I thought I needed. She called me UNGRATEFUL. Not just her, but my MIL too.

Thanks, but no thanks.
