Trying too hard?

Question

My SO and I discussed trying to have our second child and it can be harder for me to conceive so I suggested that we start tracking my ovulation and get the ovulation tests and even trying preseed and before I could finish he interrupted me saying “it’s trying a little too hard” but claims it’s not what he meant when I got upset by it.
How would you feel? What would you take that as?

My hubby was the same way at first too. I think sometimes as women we get so excited about all the things we can do to boost fertility that we forget (most) guys can be completely invested in wanting to get pregnant as well, but they maybe haven't done the hours of research we have on all the tools. So it can come off overwhelming to them when we spray it at them all at once like word vomit. I don't think you should take it personally. Maybe just tell him a little bit at a time. Im sure he is just as excited as you. Baby dust to you!!

Try not to stress, sounds like he just wants to try without all the pressure so soon. He may want to just take a few months and see what happens on its own first, before taking those steps.
Tracking and scheduled sex isn't exactly sexy and it can be extremely stressful which isn't good for TTC either. I really get where you coming from with wanting to be so prepared and knowing it just seems like it's alot for him at once.

Don’t take it personal not all men are as expressive and overly emotional about baby making to some they just want to sprinkle the dust and then relax. I’d get the opk and do the prep work without having to tell him every detail, on the days you ovulate just come on to him and do the baby dancing. Please understand we as women get super focus and absorbed in these things and most men don’t.

My husband was the same way. After 2 MC I was determined to get pregnant. It turned into a chore for him & eventually I just sat him down & expressed exactly how I felt. He understood & we made it a little more fun, even laughed a little while BD. You need to communicate how important it is for you!
