Do I need to eat or drink anything before hand?

I have mine tomorrow too and they told me to empty my bladder one hour before coming in and to have had a bit of a drink within the hour but not have a full bladder.

I’m always told something sugary to make baby move beforehand is good! (Good excuse to get a donut or cookie lol)

Semi full bladder at time of arrival. You will most likely be in the waiting room for a few minutes and also in the ultrasound for a little while and they will be pushing on your stomach. If it's too full it will be painful.

I had mine a week ago but they didn’t say I needed to do anything in particular. I drank water just because they always take a urine sample every appointment and I get pee shy so if I gotta go bad enough, I can’t be too shy 😂

Usually they prefer a full bladder. And will tell you to do so. My momma always told me something sugary to get the babe to move 💜
But my tech told me for my appt that I won't need a full bladder bit to make sure to eat breakfast so the babe will be awake. (Mine is tomorrow morning) 
You can also call to make sure or just play it safe and do a full bladder hahahaha I want to make sure they can see everything so I dont habe to go back so I'll make sure it's kinda filles

My tech said they want a full bladder. Generally with normal ultrasounds your do. With a vaginal you don’t.

I did the NIPT and ultrasound at 12 weeks for genetic/chromosomal screening, ultrasound at 19 weeks and another at 23 because they couldn't get her to move enough to see everything clearly at 19 weeks. It was the maternal fetal medicine clinic that performed the ultrasounds. Nothing was mentioned at all regarding food, water, anything.

They asked me to use the restroom before the scan. I also used it again halfway thru lol

If you have a full bladder they will just make you empty it. The full bladder is for the early scans. At the 20 week scan, they want an empty bladder. Don't be like me and hedge your bets and come with a full bladder just in case because it'll be embarrassing with the tech asks if you'd like to go to the bathroom in the middle of your scan because your bladder has refilled.
