Unmedicated birth with a baby over 9 lbs and the contractions were worse than pushing baby out. Pushing actually feels like a relief. But keep in mind, contractions have a purpose. Don’t try to fight them, breathe and give in to the intensity of them. Each one brings you closer to baby 💗

I did a water birth, and I have to say the water helped with the contractions a lot. I would say contractions are more painful because when you're pushing you have something you're doing other than trying to get through the contraction. But I also think the water helped a ton

I gave birth with no pain meds to an 8.5 pound baby and I didn’t feel any pain when pushing, I didn’t even feel contractions anymore, I just was working super hard and felt like I was pushing a gigantic boulder or a car all by myself using only my butt (lol)

Contractions are the worst. I had them every 45 seconds after my water broke. 5 hours and she was here. Pushing was a relief and didn’t hurt except the holding your breath to push part. Lol

I had unmedicated natural birth and my contractions were totally fine. I found the only painful part to be pushing while crowning. It’s called a ring of fire for a reason but you push through it and you have your baby so....
