Is the labor really easier the second time around?

My son is almost 4 years old. I went just past 40 weeks with him and begged the Dr to induce me. The induction was rough.. they broke my water too early and had to push liquids back into me because my son was essentially being squished by my non-stop contractions. I was in this state for almost 23 hours when he was finally born. Didn't get to do any of my after-birth plan as he had pooped and they needed to make sure he didn't breath it digest it. 
Anyways the reason for my post.. I'm 4 weeks pregnant with my second baby yay!! I have friends who have 2-6 kids and they claim that only the first baby is a struggle.. that I should go into labor naturally with this upcoming second one and have regular-movie-like contractions where I'm rushed to the hospital just in time for the baby to plop out and greet the world.
 Sounds too good to be true! Just curious how many mom's with multiple babies can say this is true..  or not so true?

I had both my babies at 41+1. My first was with the help of a sweep. 14 hr labor, 20 min push time. My 2nd I was induced, 4 hr labor - 5 min push time. My 2nd was a bit traumatic, he got stuck in my pelvic bone and his arm broke when my midwife had to help maneuver him out. He was 8lbs 15oz. He was all healed by 8 weeks ish - 5 month old now and would never know he was broken.

My second child almost took me out! I was big af, he had no more room to do shit and still wouldn’t come out, he finally came like hellfire at 6am AFTER I had to push for 2 hours. 
Gave me the ring of fire (that was fun) AND I didn’t know I was in labor until it was time to push. 🤬

When I had my second child I got the epidural then time to push. Of course my legs were like jello. My leg dropped I busted out laughing and out came my baby girl. Easiest delivery so far.

My third was the hardest. My first my water broke at 37+3 and I was induced at 37+4. Two hours of labor later she was here. My second I started contracting at 20 weeks and after three days of drugs to stop labor she was born after 1 hour and 58 minutes of contractions at 20+3. My son on the other hand my water broke at 35+5, induction started at 35+6. He was born after 23.5 hours of pitocin at 36 weeks exactly

I mean both my labors were relatively easy. I had a spontaneous labor with my first and a medically necessary induction with my second which was a really pleasant experience. My first labor was 24ish hours. My second was really like 9ish hours. I had an epidural with my first. I didn’t with my second. There’s no such thing as a “movie like labor/birth”. With that being  said, even though I had a great induction experience - it’s always best to let your body do what it needs too and go on it’s own.

My second one came at 40+3 and it was much faster and easier. And the third was 40+10 and also faster and easier also he was the biggest out of them while my first one was the smallest 1kg less then my third. So in all I think your friends are right I wouldn't induce or else it is for medical reasons obviously.
