Nuva ring makes you gain weight???!

So last year was my first full year on this bc method. Previously I had been on the pill. I find the nuva ring to be super convenient since I don’t have to remember taking it or anything, just changing it once a month. The problem is that since the last year I’ve gained 30 lbs with no much change in my diet or physical activity. This is unusual to me so I was wondering if any of you have gained weight while being on it. I’m seriously thinking about not using this method anymore because I want to lose weight. HELPPPP!!!!
