How do you prevent/avoid getting peed on during diaper changes?

Work fast! But I’ve been using a wash cloth to cover his little hose during diaper changes. It keeps him warm so he maybe won’t get the urge to pee. I change to a clean cloth everyday, sometimes multiple times a day if he pees through it. Honestly has saved both of us from getting sprayed!

I put the new one right under him before I take his diaper off so by the time I take it off I have the other one ready to go and just pull it up. It works great for me

Sometimes if I think he’s going to pee , I throw a baby wipe on top to keep it from getting everywhere. Other than that, I just try and get it covered with a new diaper quickly. Mine doesn’t do it very often.

Mine does frequently and sometimes twice per change 🙃

I open his diaper and blow air then cover him back up. It usually does the trick.

When you unfasten the diaper, have a wipe or wash cloth that’s been wet with cool water and place it right above his diaper, like by his belly button, this will help trigger his body to pee and it can help avoid pee going everywhere. Now this may not work every time, but it works sometimes. You can also just have something to cover it up while you’re changing

Wipe his belly with a wipe. One of the nurses told me about the trick. The cold wipe kind of scares them and makes them pee if they have to. Other than that I put a new diaper under the old one so as soon as the old diaper comes off the new one is already underneath him just in case. I’ve gotten peed on so many times already just the other day he shitted on my hand as I was wiping him. It’s been a great time. 😩🤣

Breast pads work great to cover the little woo ha dilly and absorbs better than wipes.

Put a wipe on his penis while you change him and prep the new diaper. Simple as that.
