“ why was he asking it made me kind of worried

I would say he wanted reassurance. Me and my fiancé still ask each other questions like this to this day. For me anyway, it’s just the sense of reassurance I get from his answer. I would say it’s what your boyfriend was wanting/needing when he asked you those questions. I wouldn’t be worried.

He probably needed reassurance.  My family has a history of alzheimers and my eyesight isnt the best so I've asked my husband similar questions. His family has a history of men dropping dead before 50 so he's asked me if I still love him enough to stay even with that being a thing.
