Do I need to continue pumping?

Ha

I started out with an oversupply of milk, and we currently have about 400oz in storage for trips out, babysitting etc but as we don’t take milk out a lot it goes down slowly.

My daughter is almost 4 months so we’re starting teething, sleep regression etc so things are getting busier and it’s harder to find times to pump.

My OH has had a week off work so most mornings he’s got up with her so I could have a lie in (bless him!) so whereas I’d usually pump about 7am and get 4-6oz I haven’t been this week, just coming straight down when I wake up and feeding her directly. I’ve noticed my evening pump volume has reduced very slightly probably because of this.

As our stash is okay for now, am I going to cause myself problems if I reduce the pumping for now but want to return to some pumping later on? Like, I know I’d need to power pump and up the amount of sessions over the course of a few days to a week to get back to where I have been, or if I slow things down am I going to permanently reduce my supply and struggle to get it back? I have enough to feed her, I just like the security in the oversupply which is why I’ve pumped for as long as I have already.
