Contractions ?!??

I’m 36 wks and 5 days. On Wednesday I went to my regular appointment and my doctor decided to check me . I’m was 3 cms dilated and she can feel babies head. I’ve been getting Braxton-Hicks pretty frequently and stomach pain. The pain is constant and last for sometime without a break. That’s what I’ve been feeling for a couple of weeks now and I’m not sure if it’s contractions or not , I’m so confused! I’ve been pretty achy and uncomfortable today but not sure if I need to go in to get checked or not. Help , ANYONE?!
