Girdle ?

Are you supposed to wear a girdle or body shapers of some sort? I’ve heard of some people use it but do you actually have to? Does it actually help? Or is it more of an old wives tale?

I used a belly band from the day after delivery on. I don’t wear it at night but for about half of the day I’m 2 weeks pp and have no sign of a bump at all. It really helped me and makes me feel supported. But everyone is different so you should do what feels right

You don't have to but allot of people like it or thinks it helps then feel more pulled in. And it might help with ab separation. Personally I don't think it can hurt in moderation

I personally don’t wear one. I just have some high wasted leggings that I’ll wear and pull them up to my belly button because they’re on the tighter side. I pers haven’t seen much of a difference but I am only 2 wks pp.

My family firmly believe wearing shapewear or a girdle helps with recovery. I used one with my first and im using one again with my second. I use shapewear everyday along with a skin tightening lotion. I used my girdle everyday also for the first 2 weeks and it helped the inflammation in my tummy go down drastically. Now i just wear it for support every now and then. I feel like it helps move everything back into place 🤷🏻‍♀️
