What do this look like ladies????

I noticed this on his body after he got out of the bath tub he is also antibiotics for strep throat. He’s been taking it for about 3 days now.

My Nephew just had a rash all over his entire body that looks exactly like this. We thought scarlet fever because he’d just had strep but the doctor said it was an allergic reaction to amoxicillin

It looks like it could be a viral rash, or possibly a reaction to the antibiotics. Any other symptoms with the rash?

Looks like roseola. Its a common rash after a fever breaks. It will go away on its own after a few days.

Strep can cause a rash. I took my son in for a rash and no other symptoms. It was strep. But He is also allergic to the cillans. Started with a rash the first time he took it and worsened to hives

Potentially scarlet fever.  Scarlet fever can develop in people with strep throat, especially children and usually starts as a red rash on the chest.  It’s treated with antibiotics, so there may be nothing more to do, but I would take your kid in to urgent care or their doctors ASAP.  If your insurance has a nurse hotline, I would give them a call right away.  My nephew had it, with antibiotics it’s not as scary as it used to be.

Vaseline. My son just had the same thing on his upper back, the doctor said put Vaseline on it bc it’ll absorb into the skin better than regular lotion would. It was cleared up the next morning. 🤷‍♀️

Could be an allergic reaction if the antibiotic is penicillin it’s a very common allergy
