My cat got out 😞

My cat got out. He’s been in heat and there’s this stray cat who is always outside of our window. Usually when he goes out he’s somewhere nearby. Usually I can see him. It’s been about three hours and he doesn’t appear to be anywhere near here. (Walking distance). I am very nervous. He’s been very curious about the baby crib and furniture we’ve set up and I’m hoping those changes haven’t ran him off. Has anyone ever experienced their cat running off and actually coming back home??

He’s not chipped. Just a collar 😞
