I’m 17 and I’m having my baby in May possibly April, and my mom says she can stop ANYONE from being there with me. She is wanting to stop my boyfriend and even threatens to have him arrested then and now for kidnapping because he gives me money to get to my doctor appointments she won’t take me too. Yes she’s psycho. I live in the state of Florida and I was told she has no right to stop who’s in the labor and delivery room with me is this true? What is your advice?

She had zero say. You can decide who is there, including her. I would keep her far away from the entire process.

She has 0 say in what you do when you’re having a baby. It’s your baby your delivery and nobody has an say so in that except for YOU!!!

Please talk to your doctor about the situation and they can have security or nurses escort 
 your mother out of the hospital when you give birth so you can only have who you want there. Even if that means moving out and getting a restraining order, get out of that situation so you and your baby are safe.

Check your states laws. In some states, a pregnant minor is considered legally emancipated. I'd look for a way away from her and apply for Medicaid so she can't say she's paying so she decides. Your mom is out of line and I'd honestly talk to your doctor if you're not feeling safe at home.

No it’s your choice, you can have him in the room and not her if you would love too. Just because your her child doesn’t mean she can control your baby
