My midwife told me to look into an IUD since I keep forgetting to take the pill on time (mommy brain). My ob told me about the IUD options, but a bit nervous. Anyone had an IUD and was able to conceive after removing?

Currently on nothing because I don't want to mess up my breastfeeding. using condoms. before I was pregnant I was on the pill and loved it. I've heard too many bad stories about IUDs and the shot

I’m currently taking nothing. I had supply issues with #1 and don’t want to tank my supply!!😖😖😖😖
But before kids and after #1 I got the mirena iud. I loved it! No side effects, no periods, was great. Until removal, both times my iud was MIA, the first time they found it after some poking around. Second time I needed a scope to get it out. So my doctor now refuses to place another one since I have issues with them moving around! 😒

I had 2 Skylas for a total of five and a half years. I unlike a lot of people I know still get a period while on it. I took mine out and was pregnant within two week. I did have a miscarriage but I think it was mainly due to my body and hormones not being normal yet. I waited one month and was pregnant the month after. As soon as the IUD is out, you’re able to get pregnant

There’s different iud’s so which one you’re looking at depends because the hormonal ones are going to take time to get the hormones out of your system. They shouldn’t take too long tho. I had the non-hormonal copper iud before getting pregnant with my October baby. I got it taken out in December right before my period (so we didn’t try that cycle). I got pregnant in January after my second period. I highly recommend the copper iud. I got it put in again 6 weeks aftee my October baby was born.

I have the Depo shot...my sister has the IUD which works great for her but she hasn't tried conceiving yet. I knew one person who got pregnant with the IUD 😳 but apparently she had sex too soon and it got knocked or something (her OBGYN said that)

I had the Mirena IUD and got pregnant the next month after removal! It was great while I was on it. The only thing that sucked about it was inserting/removal.
