Are drunk confessions sober thoughts?

A guy who I’m exclusive with but not officially dating had like 15 shots, and I didn’t drink. However, we were talking and his ex came up and I said go be with her then as a joke and he told me he would be if she wasn’t 1,000 miles away. That’s the only reason they aren’t together. I ignored his comment and laughed it off but should I bring it up when he’s sober tomorrow? It kind of hurts my feelings but I’m not sure if I’m over stepping because we aren’t together yet?
