Has anyone ditched the changing table?

Changing diapers has gotten increasingly difficult these days, I think we can all agree. I have always changed my daughter’s diaper on her changing table. However, I am contemplating maybe getting rid of the changing table? She needs a larger toy trunk, and nixing the changing table would help make space for that, too. My issues are as follows:

-Where do you store diapers and changing supplies? Right now we still have it all stored in containers that are baby proofed but on the shelves of the changing table.

-It’s part of our routine. She knows what the changing table means.

Has anyone gotten rid of the changing table? Pros? Cons?
