Bleeding/Cramping

I know these posts happen a lot, but I’m just wondering what everyone’s thoughts are. I’m pregnant with baby #4. I’ve never had a MC....never even had implantation bleeding with my current children. It’s also important for me to say that I understand every pregnancy is different. With that being said, I started noticing what I thought was implantation bleeding around 6 weeks. Yesterday at 7+2 it became more like a period and the cramping has gotten worse today. The bleeding is about the same with some small clots. I called my triage nurse but because we just switched hospitals and I haven’t been seen yet, she wasn’t able to triage me over the phone. She said “all I can say is that if you’re concerned with excess bleeding to go to the ER.”

Has anyone here gone to the ER when they suspected they were having a miscarriage? I’m just not sure if that warrants a visit.
