Is it better to have a baby shower& gender reveal together?!

So me and my boyfriend have been talking about this for a few days now, he wants to have a baby shower and gender reveal both together.

I want to have a gender reveal first then a baby shower which I think it’s sounds more right just so when the baby shower comes along we can pick out colors, themes etc.

Also I’m only 11 weeks& 2 Days and in my opinion I feel like it’s too early to have both the baby shower and gender reveal for myself because I don’t want anything to happen later on in the pregnancy.
