Ivf clinic or urology???

Question

We have been ttc for about 15 months now. The sperm analysis ordered by my obgyn showed a poor morphology of 3% all other numbers were great! We have an appointment to see a  urologist at the end of this month but im wondering If we should just skip the urologist and go straight to a ivf clinic? 
Has anyone treated or tried to treat morphology with medication or supplements ?

Don’t skip urology!!!  - they will send you right back. They can’t screen men other than doing blood work. My husband had varicocele which urologist caught rt away. (Fertility clinic wouldn’t proceed until he was checked) At the time we had 2-3% chance of conceiving “naturally” but he had the surgery to correct his variocele and I proceeded fwd with IVF anyway bc I was scared surgery wouldn’t work or reaults would take too long. It was fast and it worked!

If you are older than 35 go for ivf straight. If you have time bringing morphology with few percent via diet and suppliments is not that hard at all. Ivf is hard on the females body and 3 percent morphology is not too bad at all. Especially if the count is great too. I started iserting diva cup too to avoid further sperm spillage and loss. Not fan of the cup but ivf for me was a nightmare. Was unwell for good ten days straight on menopur.

I agree with Alex. We went to IVF but still had to see a urologist at the IVF clinic about our options for getting sperm to use in IVF. Good luck!

Forgot to mention urologist and andrologist usually cannot do much about morphology. We were told with zero all else great that they cannot find neither physical or hormonal reason for it. Were told all they could do is advise for diet improvement. Recommended lots of frits and vegetables due to antioxidants to combat reactive oxydative species.

My hubby has 1% and we conceived naturally he’s on conception xr supplement and we are trying for #2 now after a mc in September

Do both. See the urologist and also book a consult with the fertility specialist. You still want the best sperm you can get even if you need to do Ivf.
