When should my child be baby sat

My son just turned 1 and he’s breastfed, he hasn’t been away from me since he’s been born, the only time I’m not with him is when I’m in the shower, I love spending every second with him, but my sister ( isn’t a mom) keeps telling me I’m going to give him separation anxiety!! What do you mothers think ?

I agree with your sister. Plus it’s healthy for you to go out and do something fun without having the mom responsibilities.

I’m the same way and love it tbh. Not what I had planned but my lo hated being held by almost anyone else so it just never worked out. My mil watched him for two hours while we were all on vacation before so that was nice. Other than that it’s his dad or me and we don’t feel bad about it he’s our baby no one else needs to raise him. I wouldn’t feel bad if I were you!

I have more separation anxiety than my son but my husband convinced me to let him spend the night with his grandparents. It was so hard leading up but I didn’t regret it after. It’s nice to be able to have a small break sometimes, even if it’s just for an hour!

I have anxiety about being away from my babe. But, he goes to daycare and is about to have a second sleepover at grandma’s. It’s definitely good to be apart a little. It forces you to rely on a system of sport which is good for your mental health.

I am 100% the same, I hate asking for help and I actually have very limited help, my partner refuses to step up and now my bub hates being away from me and just cries if she is away from me so it makes it hard. I’m hoping my partner will help out and start watching her because I’m about to break. I’ve spent maybe 6hrs in total away from her ever even then I’ve been no further then walking distance away.... 
As much as I wish I had help I also enjoy spending time with her and have anxiety about anyone else even thinking about watching her.

I'm honestly the same way. I mean I've gotten out the house a couple times: doctor twice, a few shopping trips, gone to the movies twice. But it makes me nervous to be away from her.  We moved to another state too when she was three months (away from my family but with my BIL and MIL). It's been pretty isolating, I don't know anyone around here and don't get out the house like that so she's very attached to me.

don’t let people pressure you. if there’s no reason for him to be baby sat and you don’t feel the need to then don’t. go with your instinct. if/when you do decide you want someone to watch him i think it would be good to do mini trial runs before hand just to get him used to being watched by someone else
