More milk from Manual pump?

I have a spectra s2 and a medela manual pump the hospital gave me. Here lately I’ve been able to get more milk with the medela than I can with spectra. Is that normal? The electric is so much easier but I hardly get any milk anymore.

Some ppl just respond better to manual stimulation. There are some women who exclusively hand express and don’t use pumps at all. I prefer manual pumps myself.

Look this up on bumble baby (she’s got a blog and an instagram with a ton of highlights). She’s got info on this - you may need to change out your electric pump flanges or something similar.

I usually get more in my manual pump, but it also could be time to swap out your flanges for new ones if you haven’t replaced them before. The silicone wears out every three months or so.
